About this role

You will be the first dedicated finance hire at Soledad. You will own the books, set up the financial controls a growing AI company needs, and partner with leadership on budgeting and unit economics.

What you will do

Manage the general ledger, AP, AR, and payroll cycles.
Run a clean monthly close and produce financial reports for leadership.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors on quarterly and annual filings.
Implement scalable controls, expense policies, and approval workflows.
Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and SaaS unit economics.

What we are looking for

CPA or actively pursuing licensure.
4+ years accounting experience, ideally including a tech or services startup.
Fluent with QuickBooks Online, Gusto/Rippling, Stripe, and modern expense tools.
Strong sense of ownership and a bias for documented, repeatable processes.

Nice to have

Experience with R&D tax credits and SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606).
